www.bbc.co.uk The first in the new series of this genre-defining programme sees the multi-millionaire Dragon investors at the top of their game. Despite the economic doom and gloom that surrounds the country at the moment, the Den once again proves to be an oasis of investment. But only for those entrepreneurs with the very best business ideas and inventions, and who are prepared to risk all, by pitching to the notoriously tough-talking Dragons. Over the course of the next eight programmes, the Dragons are prepared to invest their own money, changing the lives of some of Britain’s best entrepreneurs. John Foster-Smith and Ros Adams invite the Dragons to get into bed with them and part with 50000 pounds in a product they claim solves long-running bedroom disputes between couples all over the country. The Dragons chat with a talking tree, but will this help them decide whether to invest in Julia Charles and Amy Goldthorpe’s events company? A machine that turns air into water, a non-slip travel cushion and a company that’s aiming to transform the nations’ gardens by brightening up the tired old garden fence, are all hoping they’re worthy of Dragon investment. And, has rock band Hamfatter from Cambridge come to the right place, or will they get short thrift from our five successful multimillionaire investors?

It’s really rare that I come across a salesperson that annoys and disgusts me so much that I want to cold clock the bastard, but I think if these two ever showed up at my house I’d lay them out on my lawn within a minute.
